Frohes Neues Jahr! (Almost)

With 2009 rapidly approaching, I couldn’t think of a better time to finally launch my new blog.

Way back when I originally told my mother that I wanted to study abroad, the first thing she said was “What are you going to eat!?” I can’t help but wonder that, as well, but I’m sure I won’t starve across the pond – they have noodles and butter everywhere, right?

It’s just hit me that two weeks from this moment I’ll actually have to be worrying about that very thing, as I unpack my two extremely large suitcases in my new dorm room in Germany. And then four months and one day after that, I’ll be arriving back in the good ol’ U.S. of A and will know (hopefully) what my next meal will be. Honestly, it’s kind of freaking me out.

Don’t worry, though, I’m still so incredibly excited to get on that plane and take off. OK, not really that part, considering that I may be forced to eat the airplane food and enjoy all the other wonderful quirks that come with being stuffed on a red eye flight for seven plus hours. I’m more excited for the plane to land, but you get the idea.

Anywho, I hope to be posting at least one more time before I depart to Deutschland, the land of brats and beer. Oh, and those are all names of real German towns in the picture. Anyone up for a trip to Texas or Kalifornien?

Until then!
