Oh, and only 39 more days until I'm no longer crippled by the Euro! There was a time oh so long ago when it was improving... I actually had hopes of a 1:1 exchange rate before I left. Those hopes, however, have been crushed.

I honestly think that a big part of the aversion to being from "Eastern Europe" is that it usually translates to "under Russian influence".
Nobody wants anything to do with Russia. I don't blame them :)
I completely agree! The reason they were so pro-America is because to them America = anti-Russia. It's so crazy.
